It all began in 1986, with the idea of serving full-flavored, quality, home-style "comfort" food to a local community. Our family enterprise has maintained its promise and built a reputation over the years with consistent service and quality.

We've also found ways of returning our appreciation to the community through donating food and services to our local schools, educational programs, and many non-profits throughout the Bay Area. We also bottle our Chinese-style salad dressing, donating a percentage of those profits to local charities.

Our most successful entrée, which easily carried over to the "to go" section of our enterprise and became a second identification for us, is our Chinese Chicken Salad.

As our name implies, "Comforts" means home-style, comfort food, flavors that offer consistent quality and satisfaction, just like home. Our "Comforts" include full-flavored soups, salads, entrées, house-baked pastries and desserts. From breakfast to dinner entrées, Comforts is home to our customers.

Comforts offers a full-service café as well as a large take-out area with a wide variety of packaged foods, wine, magazines, and gift ideas, including our own bottled Chinese-style salad dressing, made famous by our popular Chinese Chicken Salad, as well as complete catering services.

Comforts can be a one-stop shopping experience, from a relaxing breakfast in our café, to a picnic lunch, to a gift basket for friends, to a huge array of selections for a family dinner to take home.
