We`re so proud to celebrate 40 years of Comforts this July! We are honored to be featured in @marin_ij, along with other greats ( @restaurantpicco & @sushiran ).
My parents opened Comforts in 1986 with the intention of creating a local, neighborhood restaurant serving homestyle comfort food.
They wanted it to be a gathering place where people could come for breakfast, lunch and dinner and feel like they are welcomed into someone`s home – a place people would want to return to again and again.
What started as a small neighborhood restaurant has morphed into this amazing San Anselmo institution. Though we have nearly doubled in size, the sentiment has always stayed the same – a place for people to gather, share a meal, and feel at home.
Seeing our family recipes enjoyed on the tables of so many throughout Marin and beyond has been so rewarding! We owe it all to our wonderful customers, whom have supported us for multi generations now. We will continue to strive to make Comforts your home away from home!
